Healing the Interconnected Legacies of Individual, Ancestral, and Collective Trauma
Thomas Hübl, PhD, is a renowned teacher, author, and international facilitator whose lifelong work integrates the core insights of the great wisdom traditions and mysticism with the discoveries of science. Since the early 2000s, he has been leading large-scale events and courses that focus on the healing and integration of trauma. He has been teaching workshops and presenting training for Harvard Medical School since 2019. In 2022, he received a PhD in Wisdom Studies from Ubiquity University.
His non-profit organization, The Pocket Project, works to support the healing of collective trauma throughout the world. He is the author of Healing Collective Trauma: A Process for Integrating Our Intergenerational and Cultural Wounds and the forthcoming book Attuned: Practicing Interdependence to Heal Our Trauma—and Our World.
Richard C. Schwartz, PhD, is the originator of the Internal Family Systems Model (IFS) of therapy, a highly effective, evidence-based therapeutic framework grounded in systems thinking. IFS was developed in response to clients’ descriptions of various parts within themselves as a way to “de-pathologize” the multi-part personality. It is applicable and versatile for a myriad of contexts.
His IFS Institute offers progressive levels of training for both professionals and the general public, including an IFS Certification process. Throughout the world, the IFS model has helped countless people facilitate personal growth and deepen an embodied experience of Self to help improve the lives of clients, patients, and therapists.
He is currently on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and has published five books, most recently No Bad Parts: Healing Trauma and Restoring Wholeness with the Internal Family Systems Model.

A special 6-session LIVE online training course where two visionary teachers explore complementary methods and approaches to healing the multidimensional layers of trauma.
“When we look at recent events that are individually and collectively stressful, it’s clear we need an inner practice that doesn’t take us out of life, but helps us come deeper into life.”
“Our parts can sometimes be disruptive or harmful, but once they’re unburdened, they return to their essential goodness. When we learn to love all our parts, we can learn to love all people—and that will contribute to healing the world.”
The problem is, as we cope with immediate symptoms such as stress, anxiety, numbness, or indifference, our suffering further disconnects and isolates us from knowing the nature of our true selves in relationship with others.
The truth is, your trauma is shaped by more than just the individual experience.
There are unseen and unintegrated layers of trauma that develop outside of us––shared past and present experiences become deeply entangled with how we respond to any crisis both individually and collectively.
When we focus only on our own trauma, we cannot see how other types of trauma––ancestral, cultural, social, and spiritual–– influence and contribute to our present pain and suffering.
But when we step back to consider how our individual, ancestral, and collective parts are interconnected––we have a much more complete and coherent picture. And with awareness comes healing.
As we illuminate the inner Self, we empower our other parts to integrate the entire fragmented system, release the pain of trauma, and amplify healing for us all.
In this course, Dr. Richard Schwartz and Thomas Hübl will explore how their complementary principles and processes expand our capacities and competencies for healing.
They will identify the ways in which we have grown disconnected—individually and collectively—and discuss new pathways that promote more effective growth and resilience.
Together, we will discover how to open our hearts with love, compassion, and curiosity, so that we may honor and restore our innate wholeness and resilience.
Discover how underlying dynamics of individual, ancestral, and collective trauma disconnect us from ourselves and others, further blocking our ability to process and resolve trauma.
Open our hearts and minds to awaken and reconnect to the natural healing presence within us all, so we can begin to honor all of our experiences—individual, generational, collective, and spiritual.
Hear stories of healing and hope that demonstrate how we can uncover and release beliefs, patterns, and emotions that no longer serve us—so we can reclaim our inner resilience and experience greater growth and healing.
Expand our curiosity and awareness so we can learn how to amplify our developing self-awareness to benefit healing in the world.
Explore how complementary approaches, tools, and strategies can foster compassion, restore broken connections, and support powerful transformations.
Integrate new practices and principles into your personal and professional life—helping you (and your clients) resolve unhealed wounds and legacy burdens from the past.
